No. Your child has homework every day. On Fridays the homework might be a book report. Please check Google Classroom or your child's yellow assignment sheet that will be sent home every single Monday. Homework should not be completed ahead of time because the lesson will not have been taught yet. Homework provides consistent reinforcement & practice for concepts/skills taught & learned that day. In addition, students are also required to spend time reading & studying daily.
Your child can bring home any textbooks at any time. Students are also allowed to bring home notebooks so they can review/study notes taken in class or so they can use these notes to assist them in doing their homework.
No. Students may leave books, supplies, etc., any materials in the desks. Students should not leave valuables or food in their desks; valuables should not be brought to school because if they are lost, damaged or stolen, the school is not responsible for their replacement.
Yes, your child should have all of his/her materials daily. Textbooks, notebooks, supplies, etc. should not be left at home or your child will not be able to use them. All of the supplies that are listed on the supply list should be brought to school. They may be taken home at any time but NOT left at home. Students must be prepared daily with books, notebooks, correct folders, looseleaf paper, sharpened pencils, crayons, colored pencils, markers, hole puncher, scissors, highlighters, covered pencil sharpener, etc.
Yes, homework is assigned each night & it should be uploaded to Google Classroom by the very next day unless otherwise indicated on the yellow assignment sheet. However, it is not being marked late if turned in after the due date. Google Classroom will indicate that the assignment is late but there is no penalty.
YES! Please check!
No, homework is not being marked late. Nevertheless, please stay on top of assignments so you will not fall behind.
No, but please let me know and I will send an additional copy home the next day.
YES! You can write a note to the teacher any time and you can email or call the teacher any time with any questions or concerns about assignments or Google Classroom
YES! If your child normally rides the bus and you plan to pick your child up instead, you must send a note to school with your child that morning notifying the teacher or drop a note off in the office to inform them of your change. This is extremely important, because without a note, teachers are required to put that child on the bus. Students cannot just come to school & tell the teacher that someone is picking them up when they normally ride a bus. There must be written authorization from the parent.
